My name is Atle. A designer by trade, and maker by heart.
Currently building the web's best web browser, e-mail client and calendar at Vivaldi.
Before this, I led design at Hyper, a digital agency in Oslo, Norway. We helped organizations distill large amounts of information into beautiful, understandable content, in the form of apps, web pages, e-learning courses and video.
While I was at Hyper, I started a side project called Subtle Patterns. Sharing (open source) textures and tileable patterns turned out to be a massive hit, and in turn led to many open doors, like collaborations with both Adobe and Microsoft. Subtle Patterns was later acquired by Toptal.
Even earlier, we’re talking almost 18 years ago, I started my design career as an intern for Ensign. I spent my time learning, building web pages with Macromedia Flash (look it up), doing photography, 3D modeling and pretty much anything related to visual design.
Should you want to hear more from me, you’ll find me on Twitter, Mastodon, VSCO and Dribbble every now and then. Or even better, send me an email.

I don't keep an up-to-date portfolio these days, but here are a few things I've designed, made and photographed recently:
That's all for now. I hope you're having a good day 👋
